Nurse Appreciation Night Saturday 7pm

Your Halifax Mooseheads are excited to introduce the first ever Nurse Appreciation Night which will be held this Saturday night at 7pm when the Herd plays host to the Val d’Or Foreurs. More than 400 nurses and their family members will be in attendance. There will also be a pre-game ceremony to honour these dedicated health care professionals who are enjoying a well deserved night off.

“This is a night we are looking forward to and it’s exciting to be able to honour the hard working nurses in our community,” said Mooseheads VP of Business Operations Brian Urquhart.

Nova Scotia Nurses’ Union President and Registered Nurse, Janet Hazelton will be dropping the puck on behalf of the more than 7,000 she represents, working nurses across this province – our VON, long term care nurses and nurses working in hospitals from one end of the province to the other.

“Many, many nurses love Canada’s game. Their kids play hockey, they play, and they love to watch the game. We’ll be there on Saturday to show our support for the Mooseheads – and thank them for acknowledging our hard working nurses,” Hazelton said.

Tickets are on sale now at the Ticket Atlantic Box Office, select Superstore Outlets,, the Official Mooseheads Shop in Scotia Square or call 451-1221.
