3 Players leave Moose Training Camp

The roster of players currently attending Mooseheads training camp was trimmed down for the first time on Saturday evening after defenceman Stephen Davis, forward Ethan Phillips and goaltender Noah Battaglia made the decision to leave.

Davis and Phillips were both 2018 QMJHL Draft selections by the Mooseheads while Battaglia was attending camp on a free agent invitation.

Their departure means 44 players remain at camp including six goalies, 15 defencemen and 23 forwards. The Mooseheads wrapped up intrasquad action earlier in the day as Team Green skated to a 5-1 victory over Team White at the Dartmouth 4Pad.

Halifax opens the preseason schedule on Sunday at 4pm on the road against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. Those teams will meet again on Tuesday night at 7pm at the 4Pad.
