4 Mooseheads in Thursday’s Top Prospects Game

The next step in achieving their dream of playing in the NHL will be taken by a quartet of Halifax Mooseheads players on Thursday night at the Sleeman Centre in Guelph, Ontario. Filip Zadina, Jared McIsaac, Benoit-Olivier Groulx and Alex Gravel will lace up the skates in the annual Sherwin Williams CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game which will be nationally broadcast at 8pm Atlantic on Sportsnet.

The game showcases the top available NHL Draft prospects in the Canadian Hockey League. Mooseheads star Nico Hischier captained Team Orr last season and scored one goal and two assists. This season Jared McIsaac has been named an alternate captain with Team Orr and will be joined on the Eric Lindros coached squad by teammates Benoit-Olivier Groulx and Alex Gravel. Filip Zadina will suit up for Team Cherry.

The Mooseheads players also saw their names featured prominently in Monday’s release of NHL Central Scoutings Midterm Rankings. Zadina is listed as the second rated skater in North America while McIsaac slots in at number 12, Groulx at 18 and Gravel was named the top ranked goalie in North America.
