A forward & a defenceman selected in American QMJHL Draft

The QMJHL held its two-round American player Entry Draft online on Monday morning. The Mooseheads held the 16th and 34th overall selections where they took one forward and one defenceman.

16th Overall Paul Davey – 2003-01-11 – The left winger played 28 games for the Brunswick Bruins Prep in the USHS-Prep league where he scored 24 points (7G 17A). The Greenwhich, CT native is 6-foot-1 and 167 pounds.

34th OverallKyle Furey – 2002-02-05 – The 17-year-old defenceman split his season between Lawrence Academy in the USHS-Prep league and the Cape Cod Whalers U16 Midget team. With Lawrence Academy he scored 10 assists in 28 games and had 14 points (5G 9A) with Cape Cod. The Marblehead, MA native stands 6-feet tall and weighs 160 pounds.
