Your Halifax Mooseheads (5-2) continue their season opening 15-game road trip tonight against the Charlottetown Islanders (3-4-1) with puck drop set for 7pm at the Eastlink Centre. Halifax is coming off a tight 3-2 loss on Saturday in Baie-Comeau where Mooseheads goalie Alex Gravel was named the 1st star of the game with 37 saves. The Islanders snapped a 4-game losing streak on Saturday with a 3-2 shootout win in Chicoutimi.
This marks the 2nd meeting of the season between the Mooseheads and Islanders with Halifax scoring a 3-2 win in Charlottetown back on September 22nd. Patty Kyte had a goal and an assist in the victory while Samuel Asselin notched the game-winning goal.
The Mooseheads have dealt with their share of injuries early in the season. Defenceman Jared McIsaac and forwards Ostap Safin & Joel Bishop are questionable for tonight while forwards Kyle Petten and Samuel Dube remain out indefinitely.
The Islanders will have a new face in their lineup after acquiring 19-year-old forward William Sirman. The Kingston, ON native appeared in two games with the Ottawa 67’s this season after spending all of last season with the Windsor Spitfires.

The Mooseheads will also visit the Saint John Sea Dogs Friday night at 7pm and the Acadie-Bathurst Titan on Sunday afternoon at 3pm.
