Kyle Petten sent to Junior A

2019-01-08

The Halifax Mooseheads have sent forward Kyle Petten to the Campbellton Tigers of the Maritime Hockey League for the remainder of the season.

With 26 players on the roster, GM Cam Russell was forced to make a move to get to the QMJHL limit of 25. Petten will return to the Mooseheads once the Tigers season finishes.

The 17-year-old Bay Roberts, NL native has not registered a point in 12 games played this season after missing significant time with an injury. Petten had six points in 44 games as a rookie last season with the Mooseheads. Halifax selected him in the sixth round, 95th overall, in the 2017 QMJHL Entry Draft.

The Mooseheads are on the road tonight at 7pm at Acadie-Bathurst. The Herd will return home for Student Night on Thursday night at 7pm against Shawinigan. Tickets are on sale now at the Ticket Atlantic Box Office, select Superstore Outlets, TicketAtlantic.com, the Official Mooseheads Shop in Scotia Square or charge by phone 902-451-1221.
