Long-time broadcaster steps down

A new voice will be heard on the radio in Moose Country this season. Long-time broadcaster John Moore has stepped away from his radio role with News 95.7 to focus on his own company. John became the radio voice of the Mooseheads during the early days of the franchise and was able to witness many of the biggest moments in Mooseheads history.

“We feel the professional on-air experience John provided for our fans and the listeners for 20 seasons was among the best in junior hockey,” stated VP of Business Operations Brian Urquhart.

“The entire organization thanks John for his passion and dedication to the Mooseheads.”

Mooseheads Majority Owner Bobby Smith added, “I’d like to personally thank John for his excellent work over the years. When I was not in attendance at a Mooseheads game I listened to John describe the action in his unique and knowledgeable manner.”

The search for the next radio voice of the Halifax Mooseheads will begin immediately.
