Moose add depth on D in trade with Titan


The Halifax Mooseheads made a depth move on trade deadline day in the QMJHL Sunday by acquiring veteran defenceman Alexis Sansfaçon from the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in exchange for a 7th round draft pick in 2020.

The 19-year-old Sansfaçon brings size at 6-foot-5 and 217 pounds, along with experience. He has played 146 career games between Cape Breton, Blainville-Boisbriand and Acadie-Bathurst since 2016. The Shawinigan, QC native has 26 career points and has appeared in 14 playoff games. He was originally drafted by the Screaming Eagles in the 3rd round (50th overall) in the 2015 QMJHL Entry Draft.

The next game for the Mooseheads is on the road Tuesday night at 7pm at Acadie-Bathurst.
