With the score tied at one in the third period, defenceman Jared McIsaac put the puck into traffic in front of the net where Jack McBain dished to Serron Noel who buried one for the eventual game-winner. McIsaac earned an assist on the play. Then with 2:33 remaining in regulation Benoit-Olivier Groulx corralled the puck in front and tallied for the second time in the tournament giving Canada a much needed insurance goal.

Groulx added an assist on an empty net goal by Aidan Dudas with 33 seconds to play. Canada will battle the Czech Republic for the Gold Medal on Saturday at Noon AST.
