Halifax Mooseheads Majority Owner Bobby Smith today announced two significant promotions within the organization.
Brian Urquhart has been promoted to President of the Halifax Mooseheads Hockey Club and Travis Kennedy will become the Senior Vice President of Business.
Smith stated, “The Halifax Mooseheads Hockey Club has been one of the leading franchises in the Canadian Hockey League in delivering value to our fans, corporate partners and community. Over the past fifteen years Brian Urquhart and Travis Kennedy have been instrumental in making the Mooseheads one of the most innovative and progressive sports franchises anywhere. It is past time that their titles more accurately reflect their contributions to our organization.”
Urquhart and Kennedy both joined the Halifax Mooseheads in 2003 shortly after Smith purchased the majority ownership of the club from Moosehead Breweries.
The moves are the latest in a busy off-season for the Mooseheads front office that has seen the hiring of new Head Coach Eric Veilleux and a four-year contract extension for General Manager Cam Russell.
Mooseheads 2018-19 Season Ticket Memberships are on sale now at the Ticket Atlantic Box Office, TicketAtlantic.com, the Official Mooseheads Shop in Scotia Square or by calling 451-1221.
The Halifax Mooseheads will host the 101st Memorial Cup May 17-26, 2019.
