QMJHL Entry Draft Prospect Profiles

The QMJHL Entry Draft on Saturday, June 3rd in Saint John is quickly approaching with your Halifax Mooseheads holding the fourth overall pick. Additionally the team has the 23rd and 41st overall selections giving the Mooseheads a trio of picks in the top 50.

With that in mind is taking a look at some of the top prospects available.

Noah Laaouan is a 5-foot-10, 155 pound product of the Dartmouth Steele Subaru Major Midgets. While he may not be quite at the same skill level of some of the top defencemen in the draft, his strong hockey IQ and ability to take control of the play elevates him into the upper echelon of available d-men.

The right-handed shooting Laaouan had impressive offensive numbers with Dartmouth by scoring 12 goals and 15 assists in 38 games played while adding another eight points in 11 playoff games. The video below shows his excellent control of the flow as he set up teammate Ryan Francis for a goal at the Gatorade Frost Challenge earlier this month.
