QMJHL Entry Draft Prospect Profiles

The QMJHL Entry Draft on Saturday, June 3rd in Saint John is quickly approaching with your Halifax Mooseheads holding the fourth overall pick. Additionally the team has the 22nd and 40th overall selections giving the Mooseheads a trio of picks in the top 50.

With that in mind is taking a look at some of the top prospects available.

Skating, skating, skating. Forward Jeremy Michel of the Levis Commandeurs is considered to be one of the best skaters in the 2017 draft. Scouts rave about how smooth he is on the ice. He has a good process with the puck and the point production reflects that with 43 points (20 goals – 23 assists) in 39 games played during the regular season. He’s not one to spend time in the box with only four penalty minutes all season. Michel had a good showing at the Gatorade Frost Excellence Challenge with one goal and five assists for the champion Quebec White team. Central Scouting has him ranked as the 15th overall skater.
