Foston Swapped to Saint John

2021-08-27

General Manager Cam Russell cleared some space among the forward group at 2021 Training Camp presented by Eastlink on Friday afternoon when he traded veteran Cole Foston to the Saint John Sea Dogs in exchange for a 2023 Eighth Round Draft Pick.

The trade cuts the roster size down to 29 players on the roster, including 17 forwards after six players were reassigned earlier in the day.

Foston played 34 career games with Halifax after being picked in the fourth round of the 2019 QMJHL Entry Draft. The 18-year-old forward from Beaver Bank, NS had totals of two goals and five assists in his Mooseheads career while mainly playing on the fourth line.

Your Mooseheads continue the preseason tonight at home against the Wildcats at 7pm. Fans are not permitted into the building due to current restrictions but the game will be broadcast live with commentary starting just prior to puck drop on the Official Halifax Mooseheads YouTube Channel.
