Your Mooseheads are travelling to Cape Breton today where they will face-off with the Eagles at 7pm this evening from Centre 200.
This is the second consecutive meeting between the teams and 11th overall this season. Halifax is coming off a 4-3 overtime win on Tuesday night that saw Zack Jones score the winning goal exactly two minutes into the extra period. The season series has been incredibly even with each team holding a 5-4-1-0 record.
Tuesday’s victory snapped a five-game losing streak for the Herd and also marked the return to the lineup of import star Senna Peeters who had missed eight games with an upper body injury. Peeters had two assists in his return, including one on the overtime winner. It was also a big night for the top line of Elliot Desnoyers, Zachary L’Heureux and Bobby Orr, who each scored a goal and combined for five points.
Forward Attilio Biasca is expected to miss his second straight game with a lower body injury, while Brendan Tomilson, Keegan Hunt and Alexandre Tessier also remain out of the lineup.
