Home Game Friday Night 7pm

Your Halifax Mooseheads are on Scotiabank Centre ice this Friday night at 7pm when they entertain the Shawinigan Cataractes. The game marks the first time a team from the province of Quebec has visited Halifax since March 6th, 2020.

The first 3,000 fans in the building will receive free Mooseheads 2021-22 schedule fridge magnets.

Halifax will be led by reigning QMJHL Goalie of the Week Brady James who helped guide the team to a 2-0 shutout of the Charlottetown Islanders on Saturday in Moose Country. The Mooseheads enter the contest with a record of 2-1-0-1 through four games which has the team sitting in third place in the Maritimes Division. Mathieu Cataford, Jordan Dumais and Senna Peeters have each scored three points to set the pace as team scoring leaders.

The Cataractes roster features Dallas Stars first round pick Mavrik Bourque who is making his season debut Wednesday in Cape Breton after the Stars hung onto him for a lengthy period of their training camp. He’s joined by fellow first round NHL pick Xavier Bourgault, who was the 22nd overall pick by the Edmonton Oilers in July. Right winger Olivier Nadeau, a fourth round pick of Buffalo, completes a lethal trio up front for Shawinigan. The Cataractes will be looking to bounce back in the standings after a 1-1-0-2 start to their season.
