Miron joins Mooseheads full-time, Foston heads to Midget

The Halifax Mooseheads have made a roster move to call-up forward Landon Miron from the Cole Harbour Wolfpack of the NSMMHL for the remainder of the season. Miron has been dominant in his third season at the Midget level with 49 points (30 goals 19 assists) in 28 games with the Wolfpack. He was signed as a free agent affiliate of the Mooseheads in September after receiving an invitation to training camp. Miron has appeared in four games with Halifax this season and has scored one goal.

The move to call-up Miron was necessary after rookie Cole Foston opted to leave the team and spend the rest of the season in Midget.

“He felt for his development it would be best to finish the season back in Midget with Cole Harbour,” said General Manager Cam Russell.

Foston had zero points in 11 games played this season with the Herd after the team selected him in the fourth round of the 2019 QMJHL Entry Draft. Miron joins a new-look roster that includes recently acquired forward Alexandre David who was added on the final day of the QMJHL trade period.

The Mooseheads will host Raphael Lavoie and the Chicoutimi Sagueneens this Friday night at 7pm. Tickets are available at the Ticket Atlantic Box Office, select Superstore outlets, or charge by phone 902-451-1221..
