Orr dealt to Gatineau for picks

Your Halifax Mooseheads have acquired a pair of draft picks from Gatineau in exchange for forward Bobby Orr. General Manager Cam Russell created some much needed space amongst a crowded forward group at training camp by sending the Hurricanes prospect to the Olympiques for a second round pick in the 2024 QMJHL Entry Draft and a fifth round choice in 2023.
The 19-year-old Orr scored 21 goals and added 23 assists for 44 points in 63 games last season. He finishes his Mooseheads career with 76 points in 104 games after being acquired from the Saint John Sea Dogs in the 2020 offseason.
In a separate deal Halifax finalized a swap with the Charlottetown Islanders for defenceman Alexandre Tessier who had been attending Isles camp on a conditional loan. The Mooseheads will receive a ninth round pick in the 2024 draft.
The number of players remaining at 2022 Training Camp presented by Eastlink is down to 24 which included 13 forwards, eight defencemen and three goalies.
