Mooseheads 17-year-old forward Bobby Orr was named the QMJHL Rookie of the Month for November on Tuesday. Orr recorded points in each of the Mooseheads’ five games during November, including back-to-back multi-point contests to start the month. Strong at both ends, he recorded a +/- rating of +5 over the course of those five games.
The first-year player from Beaconsfield, QC heads into the QMJHL’s holiday break sitting in a three-way tie for the rookie scoring lead with 13 points in 15 games. He is tied with fellow Mooseheads forward Markus Vidicek and Moncton 18-year-old free agent pickup Vincent Labelle. Vidicek earned an honourable mention in October’s Rookie of the Month voting.
