Trepanier named the QMJHL Player of the Week

Halifax Mooseheads 20-year-old forward Maxim Trepanier has been named the QMJHL Player of the Week. Trepanier scored four goals and added three assists in three games for Halifax which included a four-point effort in last Thursday’s win over Acadie-Bathurst.

The Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu, QC native sits third in scoring for the team this season with 36 points in 26 games. He was acquired from Gatineau in January of last season at the trade deadline. Trepanier was on fire throughout the month of November by scoring at least a point in all 11 games. His point streak sits at 13 consecutive games after another two points on Sunday versus Charlottetown and he has found the scoresheet in 19 of the last 20 games overall.

The Mooseheads are back in action this Friday night at 7pm at home against the Cape Breton Eagles in the first game of a home-and-home series with the provincial rivals. Tickets are on sale now at the Ticket Atlantic Box Office, select Superstore outlets, or charge by phone 902-451-1221.
